 A pool of officers working from Winton Police Station polices Townsend; these officers cover a wide area and will respond to calls of an urgent nature.
In addition to this Townsend has a dedicated team consisting of one Community Police Officer, PC 387 Mike LOWTHER, and 2 Police Community Support Officers, Majid Samadi and Kat Myers. These officers deal with local issues and problems of an ongoing nature.
All residents are encouraged to participate in the Virtual Homewatch Scheme. This involves completion of a form giving personal details. Once submitted this is used by the police to leave both voice and electronic messages relating to crime and local issues. Forms can be obtained from Townsend Community Centre, Jewell Road or by contacting one of the officers. Alternatively send contact details to the team via e-mail here including your Name, Address, Telephone number and e-mail address, if you have one.
