Townsend RHS It's Your Neighbourhood Award

The Royal Horticultural Society’s 'It's Your Neighbourhood' campaign is part of the wider Britain in Bloom initiative, providing an opportunity for smaller community groups to get involved.

Special thanks to Anne & Joan who went along to the Award ceremony in Brighton.

Based on a judging visit earlier in the year, each community that enters receives a certificate of achievement of either Establishing, Improving, Advancing, Thriving or Outstanding.

Townsend achieved a 'THRIVING'! Well done to everyone involved!

Would you like to be part of a small group who does something practical each month?

We take on small areas in Townsend that may need clearing, trimming back, cleaning, litter picking etc. Come and join us.

The next Environmental Action Group is taking place on Thursday 18 October, 11am, meet at Townsend Community Centre. All equipment provided.

Light Party on Friday 26 October, 5.30-7.30pm at Lansdowne Church Woodbury Avenue, BH8 0HH.

A fun filled evening for all the family with disco, bouncy castle, games, crafts, drama and food. Prizes for the lightest and brightest fancy dress.

Millhams Community Recycling Centre
