Voting is easy and takes just a few seconds. Simply visit skillsandopportunitiesfund.natwest.com/vote, click on South West and Wales and vote for Access Dorset!

National Citizens Service - NCS

The National Citizen Service based in Bournemouth is a once-in-a-lifetime experience for all 15 to 17 year olds across England and Northern Ireland. The programme helps young people build skills for work and life while taking on exciting challenges, making new friends and contributing to their community through Volunteering and Social Action.

NCS are currently looking for Social Action Projects for our summer 2017 course, an opportunity for the young people on NCS to give back to their community. The project can be anything from gardening, redecorating, designing murals, fundraising events etc.

Examples of what we have undertaken during the previous Summers are:

Are there any projects you could think of that could be completed by our young people? They would fundraise to provide all the resources required to complete the project and any additional money would be donated to the cause. The dates they will be required to volunteer are the 24th July – 28th July 2017 or 28th August – 1st September 2017. They have 1 week to complete their 30 hours of volunteering.

Any potential projects need to be put forward for selection and development of a Project brief by end of April if possible.
