The Great British Clean Up in Townsend

The Townsend Together Team is backing a campaign to get half a million people out and about cleaning up their local communities in March 2017.

As part of its support for the country's biggest-ever community clear up the 3Ts is seeking volunteers to take part in an organised litter-pick on Friday 3 March 2017. It is hoped we have enough volunteers so every road in Townsend has litter and mulch cleared away.

Mike Baker, Chairman of the 3Ts said: 'The Great British Spring Clean is about everyone working together to clean up the litter that blights our landscape and communities and we're delighted to be taking part and bringing people together to tackle an issue that many people care passionately about.'

Volunteers are asked to email caroline.abbis@bournemouth.gov.uk to confirm they'd like to take part. All equipment will be provided on the day.

If you wish to set up your own clean up visit the main campaign website at www.greatbritishspringclean.org.uk
