I am sure people are wise to this sort of thing by now but we have just received a scam e-mail at BCVS suggesting that we are due a tax refund.  

There is information about this scam on the BBC web site at the address below if you want to read about it but suffice it to say that HMRC will never e-mail you asking for your bank details in order that they can send you a refund- they always deal with refunds via the post.  

If you do receive anything like this HMRC are asking that you forward the message to them and then delete it.
