1. Grassroots Grants have some money left in the pot for both Poole and Bournemouth this financial year - if it's not spent, it goes back to the government.
Basic criteria are: income under £30,000 p.a., you are a local "grassroots" group (i.e. not a branch of a national) and you want to do work which will put right disadvantage in some way. You don't have to be a registered charity. Grants up to £5,000.
Full details from www.localgiving4dorset.org.uk or contact the Community Foundation on 01202 292255. Help with your application is available from Lyn Pullen or Roland Robinson at Poole CVS - lyn.pullen@poolecvs.org.uk or 01202 682046.
2. Awards for All are looking for bids, especially from Poole, but other areas as well. This is the smallest of the lottery funds, giving up to £10,000 to a group in any two year period - if you have had under this amount, you can bid for the rest, as long as it is for a different project.
Criteria are quite broad and you don't have to be a registered charity - and there isn't any top limit on your income. See www.awardsforall.org.uk or phone 0845 4 10 20 30.
Again, Lyn or Roland can help with the bid if you need it.
