Music at St Clements  fund raising concerts.

The project needs you!We are part of the Bournemouth Bi-centennial celebrations and rely upon box office receipts to keep quality live music at St Clements Church, and its value to the community.

The artists in these 2 following concerts have kindly donated their services. All June concerts finish in daylight.Even if you are unable to come, please help us by forwarding this e mail. Many thanks for your kind support. Music at St Clements tel 01202 399114 Wednesday June 16th 7.30pm.

"Sound of Love" sung by "Harmony" female vocal quartet, arrives  from London's Barbican, where they have been performing with members of the London Symphony Orchestra, with overwhelming success. This promises to be a lively evening's entertainment. They will be joined on violin by Jack Maguire, new orchestra leader  of Southern Pro Musica(www.southernpromusica.org) and Barbara Henvest, BSO's pianist. £7

Friday 25th June 7.30pm. This is a choir feast. Three choirs will fill the beautiful church with angelic sounds. New Forest Children's Choir, director Alison Russell of "Harmony",  have reached the regional finals of BBC Choir of the Year, and have performed at the South Bank. New Forest Junior Choir and Bournemouth Gospel Choir complete the evening including "Jerusalem" hymn by Bournemouth born Charles Hubert Parry , and music by Royal Society of Church music composer Ian McKinley OBE, who's family live in Bournemouth. £7

Saturday 26th June 11.15am. The Coda Fiddle Orchestra is a community children's ensemble of local violinists who perform Traditional folk music, East European Gipsy tunes, and film and TV themes.

The youngest child is 5 and the eldest is 16.  The ethics are that no child should be excluded from the opportunity of group music making by inability to pay, and many of the children receive free tuition through a means tested scholarship scheme supported by Bournemouth Rotary, the Mayor's Charity and other generous funders. Individuals also sponsor scholarships. One child has won a place at the Yehudi Menuhin School, some beneficiaries aged under 14, are now studying towards grade 8.Unfortunately, after 6 years of life, the money has run out and this project is endangered. Free concert, retiring collection on behalf of CFO.
