Football is going to be from 5.30-6.30 for 7-10 years and 6.45-8.15pm. for 11-14 years. This will be commencing once the clocks change from October 26th onwards and is also reliant on securing some more funding ...as always !!
Venue is on the Playing field or the tarmac MUGA behind the youth centre/training centre. It is FREE to attend and is aimed at boys and girls aged 7-10 and 11-13 years. All boys and girls MUST get consent forms filled in and returned asap to Rikki. Failure to do so may mean the child cannot attend. We have a maximum time of a month before this would occur.
Appropriate clothing is required ( where practical ) and shin pads should be worn by all participants and it is important they bring water and refreshments if required. The coaches or volunteers are not permitted to administer any medication that the child may need at a session i.e. Inhaler/ Epi pen etc.. It is important that information is provided to Coaches and Volunteers and that they are made aware of any additional needs on the Consent Form. As a bare minimum we require an Emergency Contact number for each child attending from the first session onwards
All we ask is for young people to have smile on their face , respect for the coach and volunteers and for each other !! The session is aimed at all ability levels and is based on social inclusion rather than finding the best players or delivering high end coaching. This is available if this is what the young people would like !!
The young people will also be able to participate in Friendly matches/tournaments against other teams from across the Bournemouth and Poole region
Racist behaviour , Violence to others, Bullying emotional and/or physical and continual swearing will not be accepted and may result in a child being excluded on a temporary basis. however the main aim is to keep them coming and enjoying their sport !
The young people have devised their own Code of Conduct and we always value input from them and their parents. Improved behaviour and positive attitudes will result in monthly recognition in the form of certificates or prizes
Lead coach is Rikki Colegate a local lad, he is CRB checked and qualified. The session is supported by Nacro registered Volunteers that come from the Estate. (note * We are always looking for new volunteers !! Long term aim is to develop a junior/mini soccer section to the Townsend Adult team ).
